FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know before your ride.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Do I need prior snowmobiling experience?

No experience is required for most tours or rentals. Our team provides a quick orientation covering safety, controls, and riding basics before you head out. Guided tours are especially beginner-friendly, and our guides will adjust the pace so everyone in the group can ride comfortably.

What should I wear for a snowmobile ride?

Dress in warm, layered winter clothing including insulated pants, a jacket, gloves, and snow boots. Helmets are typically provided, and many outfitters also offer snow gear rentals if you need extra warmth. Avoid cotton layers and bring goggles or sunglasses if you have them.

How old do you have to be to drive a snowmobile?

Drivers typically must be at least 16–18 years old with a valid driver’s license. Younger guests are welcome to ride as passengers with an adult driver.

Can two people ride on one snowmobile?

Yes. Most snowmobiles are designed to accommodate two riders, and many guests choose to share. Some tours allow riders to switch drivers during the trip if both participants meet the driving requirements.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Snowmobile tours generally operate in a wide range of winter conditions. Light snow often makes for a great ride. However, if weather conditions become unsafe, we may reschedule your tour or provide alternative options.
